The role of a mental health care nurse is to work closely with the General Practitioners, Psychologists and Psychiatrists to facilitate the provision of a co-ordinated clinical care and treatment for people with mental health disorders.
The functions of the nurse vary for each client, depending on individual need. With a holistic focus, functions may include mental health assessment, pyscho-education, medication management, risk assessment, suicide prevention, referral to other services, sleep management, health and promotion and prevention.
Your doctor can refer you to Rhiannon, our mental health care nurse, to assist you to manage your mental health care. Benefits include increasing understanding and education about mental health, improving coping skills and co-ordination of a care through liaison with other mental health professionals.

Appointments are available every Thursday (exluding public holidays) from 3pm - 7pm.
Ultrasound appointments are bulk-billed (excluding musculoskeletal ultrasounds which attracts a nominal fee).

Jair Butler (Podiatrist) comes to Wyndhamvale Health Care after spending two years establishing his practice, Werribee Podiatry, in the region.
Since commencing practice in 2004, Jair has maintained a focused interest in paediatrics, sports injury rehabilitation and diabetes management. jair has worked closely with the Hyperbaric Health and Wound Management Clinics at multiple CBD hospitals, and has spent time in a professional capacity with local Little Athletics and junior football teams.

Recall and Reminder Systems |

Wyndhamvale Health Care nursing staff recalls all patients for abnormal test results or if the doctor wishes to discuss test results with you. The practice has a policy of not giving test results over the telephone.
Wyndhamvale Health Care offers our patients a reminder service for example, but no limited to pap smears, immunisations, blood tests, blood pressure checks and skin assessments.

The consultation rooms at Wyndhamvale Health Care are well located to our main waiting room and are equipped with the necessary medical equipment for the patient to be examined, consulted and minor procedures carried out. The consultation rooms are well maintained with a privacy curtain, examination bed and desk. All consultation rooms are well lit and spacious.

The Clinic houses a Treatment Room which is fully equipped with medical equipment for minor surgical procedures, plastering of casts, immunisations, ECG’s and wound management.

The clinic has an on-site designated pathology room which is staffed by qualified phlebotomy and nursing staff. ECG’s, blood tests, holter monitors can all be accessed at Wyndhamvale Health Care.

Wyndhamvale Pharmacy is located at the Clinic to help you with all your prescription needs; the pharmacy is also a NDDS pharmacy which can help you with all your diabetic needs and queries.
The pharmacy is open seven days a week (excluding public holidays) and remains open until the last patient has been seen at the Clinic.
